River Music Experience
In July, Coleman Harris donated a 1930’s-era Steinway M Piano to the Polyrhythms Third Sunday Jazz Series. This weekend, he’ll be in the Redstone Room playing this same piano. The Coleman Harris Trio will provide a brief workshop prior to the 6 p.m. performance.
The Art Of Persuasion at the Figge Art Musuem
April 6, 2017, marks the centennial of the United States’ declaration of war on Germany and its entry into World War I. The Art of Persuasion exhibition explores how some of the most important artists and illustrators of the day supported the war effort. Posters, often placed in post offices, banks and businesses, played a key role in securing the country’s support for WWI. Focusing on the themes of liberty, patriotism and fear, artists created compelling imagery that inspired a reluctant country to not only support the war but also fund it.
Fitness On the Skybridge
Try something new this week with QC Flow Arts. Friday night, in the Skybridge, they’re hosting a hooping flow jam. Connect with beer loving yogis at The Phoenix, Front Street Brewery and Me & Billy this week, too!
